Amidst all the accolades and awards, Maulana Tariq Jamil, a renowned religious scholar, recognized Pakistan’s top javelin thrower Arshad Nadeem with a Rs. 500,000 financial reward.
Ever since returning from the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, when he made history by winning a gold medal for Pakistan for the first time in forty years, the star athlete has been receiving a great deal of praise and admiration.
Nadeem was also given a number of presents and prizes for his outstanding achievement, which made the country proud.
The financial award of Rs. 500,000 was given to the javelin ace during a meeting with Maulana Jamil. The venue for the meeting was a Tableeghi Markaz in Mian Channu, Nadeem’s hometown.
The cleric’s official Instagram account also featured photos from the event.
It should be mentioned that the Olympic gold medallist was also given a car with the unique license plate “PAK 92.97” and a cheque for Rs. 100 million by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.
On August 8, the javelin hero broke the global record with a throw of 92.97 meters, ending Pakistan’s 40-year-long gold medal drought and creating a new world record.
