Senior Provincial Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb called on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to hold a sit-in in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. She made this statement during a press conference in Lahore on Wednesday.
The senior minister revealed that a substantial sum of Rs 800 million had been allocated to MPAs and MNAs to organize the protest. She accused PTI of attempting to create division between the two provinces.
Marriyum Aurangzeb described the current situation as not just a protest, but a personal conflict between the sister and wife of PTI founder Imran Khan. She reminded that a similar sit-in in 2014 had brought the country’s development to a standstill.
The PML-N leader further warned that efforts were being made once again to disrupt the nation’s economic progress. She emphasized that Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz is working diligently to provide relief to the people.
She also noted that under the PML-N government, investors’ confidence has been restored, and significant progress has been made in various sectors, including agriculture.
Marriyum Aurangzeb mentioned that the master plan for Lahore has been finalized and will be extended to other districts. She concluded by stating that the same party, which previously stalled development, is now planning another sit-in while the country is on the path to progress.
